Phases of Recovery
*Each House Varies Slightly
Phase 1 – Blackout Phase
Each resident begins at Phase 1, regardless of previously achieved recovery goals, such as step work, involvement in treatment, job, schooling, etc.
Phase 1 lasts 30 days and is referred to as the “Blackout Phase” as it is recovery focused. There are no overnight passes given, no guests, and a medications list must be provided upon entry.
Resident’s expectations that should be accomplished during Phase-1 prior to phasing up to Phase-2 are:
- Follow all published House Rules.
- Abide by a 10:00pm curfew.
- Pay rent regularly and in a timely manner.
- Attend scheduled House Meetings, Living Skills Course meetings and recovery residence sponsored events.
- Fill out and attempt to achieve your SMART Goals.
- Live communally and pursue a peaceful environment in the recovery residences.
Phase 2 – Foundational Phase
Provided a Resident has accomplished the benchmarks outlined in Phase 1 and has been a resident for more than 30 days, the Resident then becomes eligible to enter Phase 2. Residents in this phase will be expected to abide by the same expectations as Phase 1 with the following additions and privileges:
- Resident may have guests during guest hours.
- Resident may apply and get overnight passes with House Manager Approval.
- Curfew is extended to 12:oo a.m.
- Must attend a recovery program of your choice at least once a week to maintain Phase 2.
